Samsung has just announced three new smartphones, their first ones for the year 2017. They are the Galaxy A7, Galaxy A5 and Galaxy A3. They will be launching it in a few days. But the details have already been posted on their site. Let’s talk about them.

First of them is the Galaxy A7. It has a 5.7 inch FullHD Super AMOLED display. On the inside is an Exynos chipset and a 1.9 inch Octa core CPU running Android 6.0 Marshmallow. It has 3GB of RAM and an internal storage of 32GB with microSD expandable storage. On the back is a 16MP camera with F/1.9 aperture and on the front is a 16MP Selfie shooter with also an F/1.9 aperture.

Right under the display is a fingerprint scanner. All of it is powered by a 3,600 mAh battery with Fast Charging and a USB Type-C connector. The available colors are Black, Blue, Pink and Gold.

Then we have the Galaxy A5. It has a 5.2 inch Super AMOLED 1080p display. It runs on the same Exynos 7870 processor with 8 Cortex A53 cores running at 1.9GHz speed running Android 6.0 Marshmallow. It has 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage with microSD expandable storage. It also has a 16MP camera on the front and on the back but without the F/1.9 aperture. All of this is powered by a 3,000mAh battery with Fast charging and a USB Type-C connector. The available colors are the same Black, Blue, Pink and Gold.

Finally we have the Samsung Galaxy A3 with a smaller 4.7 inch Super AMOLED 720p display. It runs on a 1.6GHz octa core CPU running the same Android 6.0 Marshmallow. It has a lower 2GB RAM and internal storage of 16GB. The cameras are also of a lower resolution. On the back is a 13MP camera with F/1.9 aperture and on the front is an 8MP Selfie shooter with also F/1.9 aperture.

All of this is powered by a 2,350mAh battery. There is no Fast Charging but we do have the USB Type-C connector. Color options are the same with Black, Blue, Pink and Gold.

All of them have aa IP68 certification, which means they are water and dust resistant. All these three handsets are coming out in early January and they will be out in Russia first. A global launch and the pricing details are yet to be announced.
