Nubia launched the Nubia Z17 mini at their tech event yesterday. But Nubia also introduced us with another new product named the Nubia NeoAir VR camera. It is a 360 degree camera that you can use with your smartphone and share your videos and photos instantly. Let’s look at the specs.

The Nubia NeoAir VR camera is a pretty small device. On two sides are two fisheye lenses. Both of them have a 210 degree field of view with f/2.4 aperture. The two cameras combine images to create a 360 degree viewing experience with pretty awesome quality too. So we can capture photos at 3K resolution with 3,008×1,504 pixel ratio and shoot videos at 2K resolution with 2,560×1,280 pixel ratio. Getting 2K video and 3K photos at 360 degree is a really awesome if you ask me. Cause there are a lot of 360 degree cameras in the market right now. But getting a good resolution is hard.

The NeoAir VR has a 26.5g weighted body and has a diameter of 37.6mm. It connects using a USB Type C port. So you can use it directly with an Android smartphone with a Type C port. So I can plug it in with my Nexus 5X and live stream 360 degree videos on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. This is a very good addition for a vlogger. It is just a small device you can throw in your bag and keep it there until you need to use it.

The Nubia NeoAir VR camera has a price tag of CNY 699, which is about $100. It is available in China right now but there is no news on an international launch. But I hope they do make a broader launch cause it sounds like a good buy.
